Each patch takes
as many cells as its number.

Every numbered square on the board starts a patch. A 4 takes four cells, a 9 takes nine. Close the whole board with patches of the right size and the level is done.

How to play

  1. Touch a numbered square, then take neighboring cells one at a time. Cells are neighbors edge to edge, never corner to corner.
  2. The number on the square counts down with every cell. At zero the patch settles; a 4 never gets a fifth cell.
  3. A wall cuts between two cells and no patch crosses it. A stone is never taken; the cells around it manage without it.
  4. To redo a settled patch, hold your finger on it until it comes apart, then draw it again. Each redraw uses one of your extra strokes, and the strokes left when the board closes become your stars.

Every board has exactly one solution.
